After many years of using my CB radio I decided to join some of my friends
and study for an amateur radio license. I took my test on April 1-1997 and on April 12 @ 6:00 PM,
I made my very first contact with "KB7WDB" now a silent key. March of 2000 I applied for and was granted
my current call "K7ERL" and as of March 2007, I became a General class license holder.
I use an Alinco DR-635 when mobile and the Yaesu FT-8800r dual band for a base and a Comet GP-9 vhf/uhf antenna. For my Echolink node I have an Alinco DR-150 2 meter, on a j-pole antenna and a Yaesu VX-6 ht.
I can be found on the WW7RA Repeater "146.620 / pl 103.5. Also on EchoLink node=55700.
Here is a link to a few
shortcuts used by EchoLink node operaters using the same codes to simplify access
to other nodes while traveling in the Pacific North West. SHORTCUT-LIST
