A BABY'S PRAYER

I'm here with my mommy, so fragile and small,
My mom doesn't know that I'm with her at all.
It's only been days since the time of conception,
The boy with my mommy was full of deception.
I pray that my mommy will keep me alive.
I pray that my mommy will let me survive,
I love you, Dear Mommy, you made a mistake,
But don't end my life, and my love --- don't forsake.
I need you, Dear Mommy, oh please, can't you see,
Oh Jesus, please help her, don't let her hurt me.
The long months ahead will be so hard, I know,
With questions and staring as you start to show.
Oh, thank you, Dear Mommy, for making your choice,
I heard you, Dear Mommy -- I heard your sweet voice.
I love you, Dear Mommy -- I know you are right,
My mommy will keep me - I'm filled with delight!
Her choice was not easy, the road ahead - long,
I thank you, Dear Jesus, for making her strong.
Please rest now, Sweet Mommy, you know you've done right,
Dear Jesus, please keep mommy safe through the night.
As days and weeks pass and her due date has come,
I thank you, Sweet Jesus, for my precious mom.
